Submissions & Tickets
By submitting an award entry to the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (“APCO”) Sector Forum and Awards (“the Awards”), entrants agree to the following Terms and Conditions. APCO reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
APCO’s decisions in relation to the administration and operation of the Awards are final.
To the extent legally permitted, entrants must disclose any current formal regulatory investigation or legal proceedings known to them concerning an alleged material breach of the laws covered by these eligibility requirements, and notify APCO of relevant developments before the Awards Night. Disclosure does not automatically disqualify an entry.
APCO may seek further information and, acting reasonably, suspend consideration or deem an entry ineligible where the matter materially affects the entry’s credibility or creates a substantial reputational risk to APCO or the Awards. Entrants will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond before a decision is made.
APCO reserves the right to deem an entry ineligible at any stage if, in its reasonable opinion, the submission does not meet eligibility requirements or poses a reputational risk to APCO or the Awards.
All claims made in an entry must be true, accurate and capable of substantiation.
APCO reserves the right to request additional evidence or clarification to verify claims made in any submission.
If, in the reasonable opinion of APCO, information provided is false, misleading, incomplete or unverifiable, APCO may:
This applies regardless of whether the issue arises before or after the Awards event.
All entries are assessed through an independent judging process facilitated by an external partner.
Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding judging outcomes.
APCO reserves the right not to present an award in any category if submissions do not meet the required standard of evidence or impact.
APCO reserves the right to reallocate an entry to an alternative category if the judging panel determines it is more appropriately assessed elsewhere.
APCO also reserves the right to withdraw, amend or merge award categories where:
Entries should primarily reflect work delivered during the 2024–2026 period. Initiatives may have commenced prior to this timeframe where earlier activity is relevant to demonstrating impact, scale or system progression.
Entries are not deemed submitted until payment of the applicable entry fee has been received in full.
A separate fee applies per entry. Entry fees are subject to GST where applicable.
APCO accepts no responsibility for entries that are not received, are delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical issues, user error or system failure.
A finalist unable to attend should notify APCO as early as possible so alternative arrangements can be considered.
Entrants confirm that they own, or have obtained all necessary rights, permissions and consents to submit, the materials included in their entry and to authorise APCO’s use of those materials under these terms. This includes any third-party intellectual property, images, logos and supporting information.
By submitting an entry, entrants grant APCO a royalty‑free, non‑exclusive licence to use submitted materials (including images, summaries and case examples) for:
APCO will take reasonable care to ensure information is represented accurately. Entrants may be consulted prior to publication where appropriate.
Entrants should clearly identify commercially confidential information when submitting their entry. APCO will not publish information identified as commercially confidential, or which it reasonably understands to be commercially confidential, without the entrant’s prior written consent. Such information may be shared with judges and authorised service providers where necessary to administer and assess the Awards, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. The licence above is subject to these restrictions.
The entrant indemnifies APCO against any claim, loss or expense arising from its entry, including any claim that the entry infringes the rights of a third party.
By registering for and attending the APCO Sector Forum, Biennial Awards and Annual General Meeting (“Event”), attendees agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
All registrations must be completed through the official event registration platform. Registration is not confirmed until full payment has been received.
APCO reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel registrations where payment has not been received or where incorrect information has been provided.
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
Member pricing is available to eligible APCO Members, Covenant Signatories, Covenant Supporters, Industry Associations, Government Members and Sustainability Professionals with a current APCO membership.
APCO reserves the right to verify membership status and adjust registrations where member eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Attendees registering under member rates without a valid membership may be required to pay the applicable non-member rate prior to attendance.
Tickets may be transferred to another eligible attendee by submitting a written request to [email protected] by 5 pm Sydney time on 30 November 2026. Requests received after this deadline will be considered subject to operational requirements.
The replacement attendee must meet any eligibility requirements applicable to the ticket. Where the replacement attendee is not eligible for the original ticket rate, any price difference must be paid before attendance.
Dietary and accessibility requirements for replacement attendees should be provided with the transfer request. APCO will make reasonable efforts to accommodate these requirements but cannot guarantee that late requests can be met.
The attendee cancellation policy applies to voluntary cancellations by the purchaser. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation. All cancellations and refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
Cancellations received:
These provisions do not affect any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
No-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.
APCO is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs an attendee incurs in connection with the event, including where the event is changed, postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond APCO’s reasonable control.
APCO reserves the right to change the program, speakers, venue or format of the APCO Sector Forum and Awards Night due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Where APCO cancels the event, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or a credit toward a future APCO event, at APCO’s discretion.
Attendance at the APCO Annual General Meeting may be restricted to eligible APCO Member representatives.
Voting rights, proxy arrangements and quorum requirements will be governed by APCO’s Constitution and AGM Notice.
APCO is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all attendees.
Attendees must:
APCO may refuse entry to, or remove, a person where it reasonably considers that the person has materially breached this code of conduct, poses a safety risk, or refuses to comply with lawful and reasonable directions from APCO or venue staff. Any decision will be proportionate to the circumstances.
Refunds will be assessed in accordance with applicable law; refusal of entry or removal for misconduct does not automatically entitle the person to a refund.
Attendees must comply with the venue’s health and safety requirements at all times.
Dietary and accessibility requirements should be provided no later than 4 weeks before the event. APCO will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee all requirements can be met.
Attendance at the event is otherwise at the attendee’s own risk.
Where alcohol is served at the event, entry is restricted to attendees aged 18 and over, and responsible service of alcohol laws apply. APCO reserves the right to refuse service to any attendee.
Photography, videography and audio recording may occur throughout the Event.
By attending, attendees acknowledge that their image, likeness or voice may be captured and used by APCO for promotional, reporting, educational and communication purposes.
Attendees who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify APCO before or during the Event. APCO will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from all recordings or crowd imagery.
Personal information collected during registration will be managed in accordance with APCO’s Privacy Policy and used for event administration, communication and related APCO activities.
Information may be shared with authorised contractors, suppliers and event partners where necessary for event delivery.
